Our Services
Kidz Come First Care is a provider of high-quality residential care for children and young people in the West Midlands.
Our team delivers individualized care packages to young people from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that each child receives the care they need to thrive. Our residential services provide medium to long term care for 3 young people with social, emotional and behavioural challenges, of single, female and aged between 12-16 years old. We also provide an on site semi-independent studio flat into which young people can transition once they reach 16 years old. As an independent provider of residential childcare, Kidz Come First Care believes in cultivating a sense of belonging for the children in our care. Young people living at our Home feel they are in “their home”, with our Staff bringing their individual life experiences, to really drive the unique culture of our Home.
We encourage our young people to enjoy the extra-curricular activities in the Sandwell community.
We strongly believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to receive the best education possible, and we are proud to offer tailored assistance with every aspect of their learning experience.
We believe in investing in our young peoples quality of life, which includes educational trips and outbound activities, with trips further afield enjoyed during the holiday seasons.
This service is complimented by our innovative range of transitional support services and packages which offer effective staged transitions, bridging their move to independence. This gives our young people every possible chance to succeed in their transition to adult life.
Our 3 P’s Care Model
It is crucial that we create a sense a belonging for the children who will be in our care. Key to their sense of identity, is that staff recognise this as a process which begins by focusing on the concerns, skills and passions of our young people.
Placing their safety and security as priorities means more than physically safe. We include mental health and spiritual /ethical guidance as elements of safety, and our team are well placed and adequately skilled to deliver on all three tenets. Core to our 3 P’s model of care is the development of each young persons resilience and life skills to prepare them for their move back home or to live independently.
